System Engineer

What to Expect:

We are currently seeking a System Engineer to play a pivotal role in constructing our comprehensive solutions for distributed energy resources sites over the world. As a System Engineer, you will be the head of the sites planning, design, and development for our current and future solution. This will include mechanical and electrical planning, along with the definition of communication solutions. Our solutions address systems that control energy storage devices, generator operation and green energy resources for a number of industrial applications.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the planning of solutions from schematics to equipment sourcing.
• System integration, including hardware and software components, to create holistic solutions for DER sites.
• Develop comprehensive schemes for battery integration, cabling, and isolation.
• Power planning of microgrids that include solar energy, grid supply and energy storage systems.
• Plan the control for low power DC and AC.
• Be involved with electrical cost analysis for manufacturing equipment.
• Coordinate and lead discussions with field engineering teams in crafting the solutions.
• Collaborate with local engineering teams and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to local electrical codes,
• Establish relationships with customer engineers and conductors to tailor solutions to their specific needs.

What You'll Bring:

• Fast learner and a can-do spirit.
• Excellent team and person-to-person communication skills.
• At least bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or Energy Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Additional certifications or courses related to renewable energy systems, power systems, distributed generation, or energy management would be an advantage.      
• Understanding of electrical system issues (Batteries, charging, patterns voltage & power).
• A plus - Experience with energy storage systems.
