We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Linux expert to manage our Linux and infrastructure environment. This role includes both technical responsibilities and team leadership, with a strong emphasis on supporting R&D teams working in CAD (HW/SW), RF, and software engineering environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux system administration, DevOps practices, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and infrastructure supporting EDA tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, ARM, and others.

Requirements:

6+ years of experience in Linux system administration
Proven experience with EDA/CAD environments (Cadence, Synopsys, ARM, KeySight...) and floating license management.
Solid hands-on experience with:
NetApp storage systems
Linux distributions: RedHat, Rocky 8, CentOS, Ubuntu
Scripting in Bash and Python
Virtualization technologies: VMware, Proxmox (optional)
Docker, and Rancher (advantage)
Automation tools (Ansible, Puppet – advantage)
Monitoring tools like Nagios, Grafana,
Experience with AWS and hybrid cloud infrastructure
Familiarity with supporting both Linux and Microsoft environments
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
Self learning capabilities for new technologies.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to R&D departments (HW/SW CAD, RF) and engineering teams using EDA tools.
Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux systems (RedHat, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu) across physical and virtual environments (VMware, Proxmox).
Support hybrid cloud environments including AWS.
Administer NetApp storage systems and ensure effective data management and backup.
Oversee DevOps pipelines, automation tools (Ansible, Puppet), and CI/CD infrastructures.
Manage containerized environments (Docker, Rancher).
Monitor system health using tools like Nagios or other monitoring solutions.
Support and maintain floating license servers (LMGRD) for CAD and other licensed tools.
Provide technical support to both Linux and Microsoft users as needed.
Work with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Collaborate with IT and other cross-functional teams on infrastructure-related initiatives.
