Mobile Product Manager

Position Overview:

In this role – you will oversee the product strategy, capabilities, priorities, messaging, technologies, and releases of the mobile core and will work closely with R&D, customers, operations team, sales, and marketing.

Previous experience in a product management role is not required, but a strong interest in pursuing product management is essential.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the product strategy for the mobile core infrastructure in the Telecommunication and IoT sectors.
Define and prioritize product features and capabilities based on market needs and company objectives.
Collaborate closely with R&D to translate product vision into technical requirements
Work with operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of the mobile core infrastructure.
Partner with team members, sales and marketing to develop effective messaging and positioning for the product.
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the IoT cellular connectivity space.
Manage the product roadmap and release priorities, ensuring timely delivery of new features and updates to the market.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to drive product improvements and innovation.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the mobile core product
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry standards in telecommunications and IoT
Address escalated project and customer issues and identify possible solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
5+ years of experience in telecommunications or IoT sectors.
Strong understanding of mobile core technologies, cellular networks, and IoT connectivity solutions.
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex technical products.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across various departments.
Experience with Agile methodologies and product development lifecycles.
Great familiarity with telecom standards and protocols (e.g., 3GPP, LTE, 5G)
Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ProductPlan)
Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events
Fluent English (written and spoken)

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of mobile core network architecture (EPC, 5G Core).
Familiarity with key mobile core network elements (e.g., MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF).
Understanding of cellular protocols and technologies (2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G NR).
Knowledge of telecom standards and specifications (3GPP, ETSI, ITU).
Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
Familiarity with IoT connectivity protocols (e.g., NB-IoT, LTE-M, eSIM).
Understanding of network security principles and protocols (e.g., IPsec, GTP).
Understanding of roaming and interconnection in mobile networks
Knowledge of emerging technologies like network slicing and edge computing
Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning applications in telecom networks - Advantage
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in telecommunications - Advantage
