QA Automation Lead

We are looking for a highly technical Senior QA Automation Technical Lead to lead and evolve our automation quality engineering capabilities.

This role is focused on technical leadership, architecture, and engineering excellence in the automation domain. The role will guide and mentor QA Automation Engineers while building the automation infrastructure, frameworks, and standards that enable scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient testing across the organization.

The ideal candidate is passionate about developer enablement and treats test automation as an engineering platform rather than a standalone QA activity. This role works closely with development, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to integrate automated quality validation deeply into the CI/CD lifecycle and development workflows.

Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and guidance to QA Automation Engineers and development teams on automation architecture, standards, and best practices
Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks, testing infrastructure, and reusable automation tooling
Integrate automated testing deeply into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows to improve release confidence and delivery speed
Build self-service automation capabilities that enable developers to easily implement, execute, and maintain tests independently
Improve automation reliability, execution efficiency, observability, and infrastructure cost optimization
Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to promote shift-left quality engineering practices
Define and drive automation KPIs, quality standards, execution stability, and continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering organization

Requirements

7+ years of experience in QA Automation / Quality Engineering
Strong technical leadership experience in automation architecture and engineering practices
Strong hands-on development skills in one or more programming languages
Deep experience with test automation frameworks and scalable automation design
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and modern development platforms
Experience with scalable automation execution strategies and infrastructure optimization
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation environments
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and systems thinking capabilities
Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Nice to Have
Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform
Experience building internal developer platforms or quality engineering platforms
Experience with mobile applications testing and mobile automation frameworks
Experience implementing data quality validation, data pipeline testing, and automated data consistency checks
Knowledge of observability and monitoring tooling
Experience in high-scale SaaS or distributed systems environments
