Product Owner - Israel

Our smART+™ platform is an intelligent, sensor-based solution that optimizes nutrition delivery while reducing the risks of ventilator-associated pneumonia and malnutrition. Supported by clinical trials, we are setting a new standard in critical care by achieving nearly 100% feeding efficiency and reducing ICU stays by an average of 3.3 days.

We are seeking a Product Owner who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and user needs, and is passionate about improving patient care through innovation and attention to detail.
The Product owner plays a central role in supporting the downstream product lifecycle—ensuring current product functionality, addressing field issues, improving usability, and translating user feedback into actionable features and requirements.

Role & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Product Lead, R&D, Regulatory, and Clinical teams to define practical and achievable solutions for user needs and field issues.
Create high-quality wireframes and mockups; define detailed UI behaviour.
Write clear, testable, and detailed user stories and specifications, covering typical flows, UI behaviour, functional behaviour, and edge cases.
Own and continuously refine the full software specification (user stories), improving clarity, completeness, and alignment with design and implementation.
Work with the Product Lead to manage and prioritize the software backlog, ensuring the development team always has well-defined, actionable tasks.
Collaborate with the Project Manager, Product Lead, and Software Manager to define the software release timeline and plan.
Clarify open questions on specifications, participate in sprint planning and design reviews, and help debug clinical or technical issues.
Work closely with system and software engineering to ensure end-to-end traceability of features, user needs, and user stories across components, requirements, and risks.
Serve as the internal product expert for engineering throughout development, testing, and issue resolution
Requirements
B.Sc. or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner in the medical devices industry.
Hands-on experience with requirements writing and user story development.
Experience with Agile task management methodology.
Hands-on creation of user stories in Jira
Full understanding of software development Lifecycles
Familiarity with software-based systems and multidisciplinary devices (mechanical, electrical, software).
Understanding of design controls and medical device regulations is an advantage.
