Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer specializing in power design to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with DC-DC converters, isolated power supplies, and compliance with the MIL-STD-704 standard. This role requires a deep understanding of power electronics and a proven track record of designing and implementing robust power solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·      Design and Development: Design and develop power supply architectures, including DC-DC converters and isolated power supplies, to meet project specifications and industry standards.

·      Compliance: Ensure all power designs comply with MIL-STD-704 standards and other relevant industry regulations.

·      Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of power designs to ensure reliability, efficiency, and performance under various operating conditions.

·      Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve power-related issues in existing designs, providing innovative solutions to improve performance and reliability.

·      Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and systems engineering, to integrate power solutions into overall product designs.

·      Documentation: Create detailed design documentation, including schematics, test plans, and reports, to support the development and maintenance of power systems.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

·      Minimum of 5 years of experience in power design engineering, with a focus on DC-DC converters and isolated power supplies.

·      In-depth knowledge of MIL-STD-704 and its application in power design.

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex power issues.

·      Proficiency in using simulation and design tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, and CAD software.

·      Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.

·      Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

·      Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Preferred Skills

·      Experience with high-reliability and high-performance power supply design for aerospace or defense applications.

·      Knowledge of other relevant standards and regulations in power electronics.

·      Familiarity with modern power management techniques and technologies.
