Job summary

The Data Services team at NetApp is responsible for driving preference for our primary storage platforms through a consolidated set of offerings in Cyber Resilience and AI space.
We are looking for a Senior Director of Product Management to help define and build the future of data services products and capabilities primarily focused in helping making NetApp the most intelligent storage in Enterprise AI space with focus on Data personas including Data scientists, data analysts and data protection officers. The candidate is expected to work closely with core platform and engineering teams, product marketing, and most importantly our customers to define the vision and roadmap for the space, and to be excellent at driving planning and execution for these broad areas.
The success of this role depends on ensuring that our data services related to enterprise AI bring more value to storage infrastructure while building and growing more subscription services.

Job responsibilities

• Build the next generation of data classification and AI related products that closely align with the company’s mission of helping customers store, protect and govern their data with NetApp for all workloads including AI and GenAI workloads.
• Work closely with top customers to both understand their needs and evangelize our product portfolio.
• Collaborate with the top company executives to align product strategy with business objectives and contribute to the company's overall growth and success.
• Drive roadmap planning and execution for new and existing services that helps meets customer demands and revenue goals.
• Build simple but usable products that delight our users and buyer personas alike.
• Build a partner ecosystem strategy that ensures a win-win-win for customers, partners and NetApp.
• Lead and inspire a team of talented and senior product leaders to innovate and empower our customers through their digital transformation.

Job requirements

• 15+ years of experience in product management and at least 5 years of leadership experience.
• Strong leadership skills – demonstrated ability to build and lead large and diverse product teams across geographies.
• Experience in building cloud-based services focused on user personas is a must.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated track record of delivering revenue-driven product launches.
• Customer obsession – demonstrated building a strong understanding of customer problems and building capabilities that help resolve their pain points.
• Bias for action – demonstrated bias for initiative while solving problems for customers, company and your team.
• Ownership mentality – demonstrated end to end ownership, accountability, and a desire to lead from the front when required to achieve the desired outcome.
• Collaboration & Communication – demonstrated experience in building strong connections with customers, stakeholders, internal partner teams and external partners.
• Data-driven mindset, with proficiency in leveraging analytics and market insights to inform product decisions.
• Experience in data space, specifically in data classification, data analysis, ML model creation space is a plus.

Education

Managers, Directors, and Executives - Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience.
