Program and NPI Engineer

Cardo Systems, the global market leader in the field of wireless communication systems for motorcycle riders, skiers, and off-road drivers, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program and NPI Engineer to join our Operations department. Full-time position in a hybrid model (from company’s offices at Raa’nana/from home), reporting to NPI, ODM, and Programs Manager.

Job Description:

The Program and NPI Engineer will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between research and development (R&D) and Operations. This position involves managing the transfer of new product lines, overseeing tactical programs, and optimizing cross-company processes, validations, and documentation. This role is crucial in managing the seamless transition of new products from R&D to operations, overseeing tactical programs, and optimizing cross-company processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:



New Product Introduction (NPI):

• Lead the seamless transfer of new products from R&D to manufacturing operations.
• Manage the NPI process, ensuring on-time and on-budget execution.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to align on NPI goals and timelines.
• Implement best practices for efficient NPI processes, including design reviews, validation, and documentation.

Program Management:

• Manage tactical programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute program plans.
• Track and report program progress, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Utilize matrix management skills to lead and influence teams without direct authority.

Cross-Company Processes:

• Optimize and streamline cross-company processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational excellence.

Validations and Documentation:

• Oversee product validations and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and maintain thorough documentation throughout the NPI process.
• Work closely with quality and regulatory teams to ensure products meet required standards.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in NPI and program management within Tier 1 or Tier 2 manufacturers.
• Experience in companies with an annual volume exceeding $50 million.
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate and excel in a matrix management environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with consumer electronics industry standards and regulations.
