Role Description

Cardo Systems is looking for a Business Applications Specialist to join the Information Systems team.

The role serves as a key business partner for the Marketing department and is responsible for managing, developing, and improving systems and processes that support the company’s global marketing activity, digital commerce, and engineering information management.

The ideal candidate will combine business understanding, technological capabilities, and a broad engineering mindset and will lead initiatives for process improvement, automation, and the implementation of AI-based solutions in order to strengthen the organization’s business capabilities and accelerate innovation.

Responsibilities

Marketing Systems, Digital Commerce, and Artificial Intelligence

• Serve as the Business Partner for the Marketing department for all matters related to information systems and business processes.
• Own systems and processes that support global marketing activity, digital commerce, and customer experience.
• Analyze business needs, define solutions, and lead their implementation in organizational systems.
• Own the Shopify platform and the business processes supporting the company’s E-Commerce activity.
• Develop, maintain, and improve interfaces and integrations between Shopify, marketing systems, and core organizational systems.
• Lead projects in Marketing Technology (MarTech) and Marketing Automation.
• Implement business automations to improve work processes and optimize marketing activity.
• Identify and implement Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions to improve business processes.
• Define and implement Agentic AI-based processes and AI agents in the organization.
• Promote the use of Generative AI tools for content creation, data analysis, automation, and productivity improvement.
• Evaluate and implement new AI technologies as part of the company’s digital strategy.
• Work with vendors, technology partners, and business stakeholders in the organization.

PLM System Management and Engineering Information Processes

• Full ownership of the management, maintenance, and development of the organizational PLM system.
• Lead processes that support the product lifecycle (Product Lifecycle Management).
• Responsible for implementing new processes and improving existing processes in the system.
• Manage, maintain, and control the quality of engineering information throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage and maintain product structures (BOMs) and support configuration management processes.
• Responsible for managing and improving the Part Numbers structure and the organizational product catalog.
• Support ECO / ECN processes and engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work closely with Engineering, Development, Operations, Purchasing, and Supply Chain departments.
• Manage integrations and interfaces between the PLM system and additional organizational systems.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system and process issues.
• Evaluate opportunities to use AI capabilities to improve the quality of engineering information and product management processes.
• Work with system vendors for maintenance, upgrades, and the implementation of new capabilities.

Working as Part of the Information Systems Team

• Work jointly with other system and application managers in the organization.
• Participate in cross-organizational projects in the field of digital transformation.
• Lead business improvement and optimization processes through information systems.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technology solutions.
• Document processes, interfaces, and system solutions.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, or another relevant field.

Professional Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in information systems, business applications, or organizational system management roles.
• Experience working with business users and leading cross-organizational processes.
• Experience in defining, implementing, and supporting organizational information systems.

Professional Knowledge

• Familiarity and experience working with E-Commerce platforms, with an emphasis on Shopify.
• Familiarity with digital marketing processes and Marketing Automation systems.
• Experience working with APIs, interfaces, and integration processes.
• Experience in planning and implementing business automation processes.
• Hands-on familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI tools.
• Significant advantage for experience implementing AI solutions in a business environment.
• Experience working with product structures (BOMs).
• Experience managing Part Numbers and engineering information frameworks.
• Experience with PLM systems – a significant advantage.
• Experience working with SQL, Power BI, and data analysis tools – an advantage.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, OpenAI, Zoho Platform, or similar AI platforms – an advantage.
