The CTO group was established to create an influx of new technologies into Nova’s portfolio, enabling us to address the growing diversity of challenges in the rapidly evolving semiconductor industry.

We are seeking a New Technology Manager with strong experimental optics expertise, broad technological knowledge, and proven leadership in driving innovation from concept to implementation. In this position, you will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage multiple research and development projects, and collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate emerging technologies into Nova’s innovation pipeline.

What will you be doing:

• Manage a team of scientists and engineers to deliver high-impact technology projects.
• Plan, prioritize, and oversee multiple R&D initiatives from concept through feasibility and early-stage development.
• Identify emerging industry needs and scout for disruptive technologies to address them.
• Guide experimental design and execution in optical systems, ensuring rigorous testing and validation.
• Foster collaboration across internal teams and with external partners (academia, industry, and suppliers).
• Influence Nova’s strategic direction by introducing novel technologies into the corporate roadmap.
• Ensure effective project management, budgeting, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven team leadership and project management experience in a technology or R&D environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in experimental optics (e.g., laser systems, interferometry, pump-probe, spectroscopy).
• Proficiency in data analysis and algorithm development.
• Experience in optical and mechanical system design (an advantage).
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and fab environments (an advantage).
