SW Product Manager

Description:

Nova's Dimensional Metrology Division is looking for a Software Product Manager to lead the strategy, commercialization, and lifecycle management of the division's software-based products.

In this role, you will hold end-to-end ownership of the software product portfolio, from understanding market and customer needs, through defining product requirements and roadmap, to driving customer adoption, business growth, and long-term product success.

You will work closely with customers and with cross-organizational teams, including R&D, Applications, Engineering, Service, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure that Nova's software products deliver strong customer value, sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and a clear competitive advantage.

This is a key business and product leadership role, combining strong technological understanding, strategic thinking, customer orientation, and the ability to translate complex market and product needs into clear business opportunities and successful software solutions.

• Define and maintain the product strategy and roadmap for the division's software-based products, aligned with the overall portfolio strategy, business goals, and customer needs.
• Lead software product definition by translating market, customer, and cross-product requirements into clear product requirements and priorities.
• Conduct market analysis, competitive assessments, and business case development to identify product opportunities, differentiation, and monetization potential.
• Own commercialization activities, including Go-to-Market planning, Beta programs, customer evaluations, demonstrations, and RFQ support.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand product performance, capture Voice of Customer feedback, and identify opportunities to improve competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
• Drive product growth through strategic evaluations, product promotion, customer adoption initiatives, and ongoing business follow-up.
• Lead the resolution of complex customer escalations by coordinating cross-functional actions and ensuring clear ownership until successful resolution.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Applications, Engineering, Service, Sales, and Marketing to maximize product performance, quality, profitability, and lifecycle success.
• Lead Technical Review Meetings to drive product priorities, customer commitments, launch readiness, and cross-functional alignment.
• Own product lifecycle management, including product enhancements, technical performance follow-up, and End-of-Life planning and execution.

Must Have

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager for software products or in a senior software-related role with product ownership responsibilities.
• Strong business and strategic thinking, including market analysis, competitive assessment, and business case development.
• Ability to translate customer needs, market trends, and business opportunities into clear product requirements and roadmap priorities.
• Proven ability to work closely with customers, understand complex technical and business needs, and build long-term relationships.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a highly technical, multidisciplinary environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.
• Willingness to travel internationally frequently.

Advantages

• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor processes and equipment.
• Experience with software products used in complex industrial, metrology, process control, or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting product commercialization, customer evaluations, Beta programs, or Go-to-Market activities.
