Repair Support Engineer

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Repair Support Engineer at the VSD Service Department (Controls BU), you will be a partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations and Customers to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction in terms of product quality and on time delivery. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Service Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
• Troubleshooting, inspection, repair, adjustment and calibration of MKS Instruments equipment based on current calibration procedures and technical documentation.
• Ensuring products are repaired and tested in a timely manner, to meet performance targets.
• Preparing quotations from fixed price repair schedule for presentation to customers
• Providing return instructions to customers for units bound to be returned for service
• Maintaining work area, test equipment and tools in line with 6S workstation requirements.
• Maintain records, update service database, prepare customer documentation. Keeping a flow of service units through the production lines
Skills You Bring:
• Minimum requirement of Electronics Technician, Electronics Practical Engineer (Preferably)
• Excellent interpersonal / communication skills. Required to liaise with customers, other subsidiaries, co-workers and vendors.
• Troubleshooting Experience: 3 years minimum
• Language Skills: Hebrew, Technical English (Excellent writing and reading)
• To be able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize jobs with changing customer demands.
Preferred Skills:
• Computer literate – An understanding of computer hardware, networking and software including Microsoft Office – Word and Excel, ERP (Priority), PowerPoint, Orcad (Basic knowledge)
• Fault finding / diagnostic skills down to component level.
• Using general testing equipment – DVM, Scope, Logic analyzer
• The ability to read technical drawings / electronic schematics
