Global Procurement Director

What we are looking for

The Global Operations department at Nova is looking for an exceptional Procurement Director.

This position leads the procurement function, ensuring the efficient acquisition of materials, components, and services essential for product manufacturing and company needs.

In this role you will lead both “Direct procurement”, procurement related to the products, and Global “Indirect procurement”, related to “none products” procurement e.g facilities, IT etc.

This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, and collaboration across various departments and various divisions to meet production and business objectives.

The Global Procurement Director plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless supply of materials necessary for production, directly impacting the company’s operational efficiency and product quality.

Requirements:

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Extensive 10 years of experience managing a procurement team in a multi-disciplinary industry within a global company - Must
Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills - Must
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, vendor management, and contract negotiation.

Role Responsibilities:

What you will be doing

Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies, vendor relationship, to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve optimal value and supply security.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, legal & other related departments to understand material requirements, specifications and legal aspects.
Cost Management and Optimization: Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and implementation.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, material shortages, and quality issues.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Measurement of procurement activities and supplier performance.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
