System Physicist

The position of a system physicist includes hands-on involvement in the development of our firstgeneration industrial machine. The system physicist at Magnus Metal is expected to be a highlyexperienced physicist who brings deep physical understanding, wide technological knowledge,enthusiasm, and commitment to the development process, working in tight collaboration with otherdevelopment disciplines.Requirements:• PhD in physics or a highly experienced MSc physicist• Experience in hardware-oriented industrial R&D – mandatory• Knowledge in in material science and physical chemistry – advantageDuties and Responsibilities:• Gaining knowledge and understanding of the machine's inner workings and driving physicalprinciples, attaining a holistic view of the casting process and the machine.• Detecting, characterizing, understanding, and solving unpredicted challenges.• Devising and implementing novel solutions.• Designing, performing, and analyzing on-tool experiments
