About the role

At Port.io, we're building the intelligence layer for enterprise operations—and organic search is how we scale customer acquisition. You'll own our end-to-end SEO and GEO strategy, driving qualified organic traffic to fuel growth in a competitive B2B SaaS market where buyers are searching for solutions and increasingly asking AI.

You will lead our organic strategy across traditional SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). This is hands-on: you'll audit sites, write content briefs, refine schema, run technical crawls, and defend priorities with data—not just build decks.

What You'll Do

• Build and own organic strategy across SEO, GEO, and AEO for Port.io's core product and marketing websites
• Drive keyword strategy, on-page optimization, technical health, and Core Web Vitals improvements
• Position Port.io for LLM citations and AI answer engines through citation-worthy content, structured data, and entity presence
• Collaborate with Product, Content, and Engineering teams to implement SEO best practices and optimize site architecture
• Conduct competitive analysis and stay ahead of algorithm shifts, market trends, and emerging search behaviors
• Monitor and report on organic performance: rankings, traffic, citation share in AI systems, and pipeline impact
• Maintain expertise across SEO tooling and execute with data integrity and attention to detail

• 5+ years of SEO experience at B2B SaaS or tech companies with proven organic growth results you can articulate
• Deep technical fluency: comfortable with schema markup, site architecture, crawl budget, rendering, and troubleshooting technical SEO issues
• Expertise in leading SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GSC)—you pull and read data yourself
• GEO/AEO knowledge: you understand how to build content for both traditional search rankings and AI citation, and where those strategies diverge
• AI & Automation Fluency: High level of AI literacy; hands-on experience using automation and AI tools to optimize campaigns and analysis
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail; you make data-driven decisions and can defend them
• Excellent communication skills: you work cross-functionally with product, content, and leadership, building alignment without friction
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics as they relate to SEO implementation and troubleshooting
