Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead our information security strategy and operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the CISO will be responsible for safeguarding Global-e's information assets, ensuring compliance with global security standards, and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization. Global-e CISO is responsible for both enterprise and product security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with Global-e's business objectives and risk appetite.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate information security risks, ensuring robust protection of data and systems.
• Team Management: Manage and mentor a high-performing security and cyber team, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
• Policy Development: Establish and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
• Procurement and Vendors management: Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of vendor services and tools to ensure compliance to company’s policies, and security standards.
• Incident Response: Lead the development and execution of incident response plans, managing security breaches and coordinating recovery efforts.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Product, R&D, IT, DevOps, HR, Finance, and Legal, to integrate security into all business processes. Lead the cybersecurity steering committee and updated management and audit committee on cybersecurity progress, roadmap, and risks.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to international data protection laws, regulations, and standards, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, SOC2, SOX, and ISO 27001.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in information security roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position with proven experience in a cloud-oriented product-led company.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of information security frameworks, risk management methodologies, and emerging cyber threats. Strong foundational knowledge in cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, with hands-on experience in implementing and managing security frameworks in complex environments.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing cybersecurity teams, with the ability to align security initiatives with broader business goals.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security challenges.
