Key Responsibilities

• Define, design, and maintain the architecture vision and roadmap for the Global-e platform.
• Lead a modernization program, shaping the architecture and design of our new technology stack.
• Drive the evolution of Global-e’s existing platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience.
• Establish and enforce architecture principles and best practices across the organization.
• Manage and mentor teams of functional and technical architects.
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams to ensure high-quality execution of architectural designs.
• Work with Product Management to align architectural strategies with business goals.
• Partner with key stakeholders across the company (e.g., Professional Services, Solutions, Customer Support, Finance) on major initiatives.
• Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing architecture team.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
• Research and adopt new technologies, driving innovation within the organization.
• Champion the adoption of AI technologies across all aspects of our platform and operations.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role within a high-scale SaaS development environment.
• Deep understanding of software architecture patterns and design principles.
• Proven track record of architecting large-scale, cloud-native, distributed systems from scratch.
• Extensive hands-on experience (10+ years) in developing complex, high-performance software systems.
• End-to-end expertise in web application development, with an emphasis on server-side architecture.
• Strong proficiency in .NET Core (highly preferred).
• Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) – an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Expertise in microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong background in working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency, mission-critical systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with executives, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
