Classification Analyst

Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate Classification Analyst to join our operations team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with export controls and accurate product classification (HS code) processes. Your responsibilities will directly contribute to the company’s growth and compliance efforts. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including the classification team, classification team, data configurations, account management, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely and accurate product classifications (HS codes) by reviewing product data to identify relevant attributes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide guidance and support regarding product classification.
• Update and maintain information accuracy in internal systems.
• Support team performance by facilitating tasks and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
• Review and understand errors to continuously improve accuracy and effectiveness.

• BA in Economics, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering – required.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel – required.
• Basic knowledge of SQL – preferred.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to effectively use search engines to gather product information.
• Understanding of eCommerce (common product types, materials, etc.).
• Experience with Harmonized Tariff Classification, Customs and Trade Compliance, and product restrictions – preferred.
• Team player, and collaborative mindset.
