Design System Lead

As the UX Design System Lead at Fiverr, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across Fiverr's digital platforms. You will lead the development and evolution of “Penta” Fiverr's design system, ensuring consistency, usability, and accessibility across all products and services. Working closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, engineers, and researchers, you will champion best practices in design system development and implementation, ultimately enhancing the user experience for millions of users worldwide.

Requirements:

4+ years of hands-on product design work experience.
Proven experience (2+ years) leading the development and implementation of design systems for digital products or platforms.
Mastery of Figma.
Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern design frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred.

What am I going to do?:

Design System Development: Lead the creation, maintenance, and evolution of Fiverr's design system, encompassing components, patterns, and guidelines that define the visual and interactive experience across all digital products.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints, and translate them into effective design system solutions.
Advocacy: Advocate for the adoption and usage of the design system within the organization, ensuring alignment with design principles, brand guidelines, and industry best practices.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the design system, including design guidelines, usage instructions, and code documentation to facilitate seamless integration and adoption by development teams.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to design system standards and guidelines across all digital products, providing guidance and support to ensure consistency and quality.
Education and Training: Provide training and support to designers, developers, and other team members on design system principles, best practices, and tools to promote widespread adoption and implementation.
Research and Innovation: Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in design systems and user experience design, conducting research and experimentation to continuously improve Fiverr's design system.
Implementation: Proven ability to measure the successful implementation of design systems within an organization, including tracking adoption rates, identifying implementation challenges, and developing strategies to address barriers to adoption effectively.
