Junior Software Engineer

Nanovel is an innovative startup developing an Autonomous Robot to revolutionize agricultural tasks using AI-powered technologies. We are seeking a passionate and driven Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and help bridge cutting-edge algorithms into real-world autonomous execution.
Location: Strictly Onsite - Mevo Carmel Industrial Park, Ramot Menashe (Northern/Carmel area). Please ensure daily commuting to this location is viable before applying.

Role Overview:
As a Software Engineer at Nanovel, you will play an active role in developing, implementing, testing, and integrating computer vision algorithms directly on our autonomous robotic platforms. This position is an excellent opportunity for a strong software-oriented graduate to gain deep, hands-on experience applying algorithms in real-time robotic environments.

Key Responsibilities:
-Implement and maintain software modules for robotic vision and system control.
-Assist in integrating and testing computer vision and image processing pipelines.
-Participate in field trials and system performance validation in real-world scenarios.

Skills and Qualifications:
-Education: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Open to recent graduates).
-Academic Focus: Proven academic background, coursework, or a final project in Computer Vision, Image Processing, or Machine Learning.
-Core Coding: Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
Advantage skills:
-Environment: Practical experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and Git workflows.
-Familiarity with ROS2 (Robot Operating System 2) or robotics hardware/sensors.
-Hands-on experience with edge computing platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi).
