Assistant Controller

We are experiencing sky-rocketing growth and closed a historically large $105M Series A round in February of 2024.

The Assistant Controller plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This position supports in ensuring accurate financial reporting and helping to maintain compliance with all applicable regulations. The Assistant Controller will oversee general accounting, manage monthly close processes, preparation of tax reporting and assist in financial statement preparation and audit coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

· Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

· Lead the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

· Perform variance analysis and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.

· Support external audits to provide documentation and answer questions.

· Tax return preparation

· Assist in implementing new accounting standards and system upgrades or changes

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA certified.

· 4+ years of accounting experience.

· Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
