About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly independent Senior Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team.

In this role, you will take ownership of payroll operations in Israel and support global payroll activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will also play an important role in improving processes, leveraging technology, and implementing smarter ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage end-to-end monthly payroll operations in Israel, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Coordinate global payroll activities, working with international payroll providers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage payroll and employment-related processes through Deel.
• Handle ongoing payroll updates, including pension contributions, provident funds, company car benefits, and other payroll components.
• Prepare company car benefit simulations and payroll-related calculations.
• Review and approve employee expense reimbursements through Refundly.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues.
• Stay up to date with Israeli payroll regulations and relevant international requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes through automation, AI tools, and technology.
• Support additional Finance operations and cross-functional activities as needed.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on payroll experience, including at least 3 years of experience in global payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of Israeli payroll laws and regulations, including pension contributions, provident funds, recuperation pay (Dmei Havra'a), and statutory requirements.
• Familiarity with international payroll practices and employment regulations.
• Hands-on experience with payroll software; experience with Shiklulit is an advantage.
• Experience preparing company car benefit calculations and simulations.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze payroll data, identify errors, and resolve discrepancies.
• Tech-savvy, with an interest in leveraging AI tools and automation to improve efficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
