Manufacturing Operations Manager

Pixel Sight is scaling production several-fold. Our systems are produced together with subcontractors, and production is growing in volume and complexity.

You will own manufacturing end to end: deliver volume through our subcontractors with traceable quality, build the knowledge and processes of a professional assembly operation, and lead the setup of new production and assembly lines as the operation grows.

Production through subcontractors

• Own subcontractor execution: production plans, capacity, WIP, output, cost and performance
• Manage strategic subcontractors day to day, including risk management and delivery plans (commercial terms are owned by Supply Chain)
• Prioritize work across our sites and subcontractors to meet customer delivery dates
• Run pilot builds and subcontractor qualification for new products, together with the NPI engineer
• Take a hands-on part in production when needed
  
  

• Build the annual production forecast: production loads, purchasing needs, subcontractor capacity and material exposure
• Run production feasibility checks and shortage simulations before delivery commitments
• Work with Supply Chain on material planning, shortages and long-lead parts
  
  

• Accept the manufacturing package from R&D: BOM, drawings, work instructions and test method
• Sign off production readiness before release
• Decide when each engineering change takes effect on the line, by serial number
  
  

• Lead the setup of new production and assembly lines, from layout to qualified production
• Define production infrastructure, work instructions, fixtures and test processes
• Plan and qualify lines: pilot builds, first articles and customer acceptance where required
  
  

• Lead the production team; hire, train and develop technicians and assemblers
• Run the weekly production plan with Supply Chain, Quality and Field Operations
• Manage interfaces across subcontractors, R&D, production engineering and quality engineering
  
  

• Own production KPIs: on-time delivery, yield, cost per unit, WIP and safety
  
  

• B.Sc. in industrial, mechanical, electronics or a related engineering discipline
• 8+ years in manufacturing operations, including 3+ years managing production teams- Must
• Proven experience setting up a new production or assembly line, from layout to qualified production-Must
• Experience managing subcontractors for production- Must
• Serial production of complex electro-mechanical or electronic systems
• Reads electrical and mechanical drawings
• Strong planning skills, ERP and data-driven management
• Good English
  
  

• Defense or electro-optical industry; work in a controlled security environment
• Experience leading NPI and DFM/DFA from development to production
• Experience setting up or managing manufacturing in more than one country
• Leading production teams of 10 or more
• Production planning and control (תפ"י)
• ISO 9001 or AS9100 environments
• Lean / Six Sigma
• Priority ERP
• Eligible for security clearance
