Magenta Medical is a Class III medical device company developing the world’s smallest heart pump, meant to provide minimally invasive support to the heart during acute episodes of dysfunction. The Elevate™ System is multi-disciplinary, involving mechanical engineering, materials science, electrical engineering, software, algorithms, and state-of-the-art catheter fabrication techniques. As we approach commercial manufacturing and scale-up, we're expanding our Operations, Engineering, Clinical Support, R&D, and Marketing teams. About the Role

Magenta Medical is seeking an experienced, hands-on VP Finance. This role is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis, budgeting, business partnering, and financial operations across the Company's Israel and US entities. The VP Finance will work closely with department leaders across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions to drive financial discipline, support strategic decision-making, and ensure accountability for departmental budgets during the transition from clinical development to commercialization and manufacturing scale-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead company budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting.
• Serve as the primary finance partner to department heads, driving budget ownership and financial accountability.
• Monitor departmental performance against budget and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Support Clinical, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions through financial analysis and decision support.
• Lead the Finance teams in Israel and the U.S., ensuring effective controls, reporting, and compliance.
• Partner with the CFO on strategic planning, Board reporting, and key business initiatives.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Mandatory.
• MBA - Advantage.
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Experience in Medical Device, MedTech, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Manufacturing companies.
• Proven experience supporting organizations through clinical development, manufacturing scale-up, and early commercialization.
• Strong background in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial modelling.
• Experience partnering with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial organizations.
• Strong understanding of product costing, inventory management, manufacturing finance, and gross margin analysis.
• Experience managing finance teams and working within global organizations with U.S. and international operations.
• Experience in startup or high-growth environments is highly preferred.
