A leading organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced DB2 Mainframe DBA to join its Data Platforms team, responsible for enterprise database infrastructure and DB2 environments on Mainframe systems.

This hands-on role combines database administration, infrastructure maintenance, performance optimization, technical troubleshooting, and automation in a complex enterprise environment.

You'll support Mainframe projects, collaborate with development and infrastructure teams, and help maintain reliable, efficient database platforms while connecting legacy systems with modern technologies.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain DB2 databases in Mainframe environments.
• Install and maintain DB2 infrastructure and related products.
• Plan and implement database schema changes.
• Perform database performance analysis and tuning.
• Monitor database environments, investigate issues, and proactively prevent failures.
• Support enterprise applications and projects running on Mainframe systems.
• Develop tools and automation solutions for development and infrastructure teams.
• Provide technical database support to software development teams.
• Collaborate with vendors and technical specialists when required.
• Work closely with multiple technology teams across the organization.
• Support integration between legacy Mainframe systems and modern distributed environments.

Mandatory Requirements

• Proven professional experience as a DB2 Database Administrator (DBA).
• Hands-on experience working in Mainframe environments.
• Experience with COBOL, JCL, SDSF, and CICS.
• Experience in database design, administration, maintenance, and operations.
• Experience investigating database issues and performing performance tuning.
• Ability to manage complex technical tasks and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong systems thinking and independent learning capabilities.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with distributed environments and the ability to connect legacy and modern systems.
