Senior Systems Analyst | APIs, Oracle & Financial Systems

Experienced in both functional and technical systems analysis? Comfortable working with APIs, Oracle databases, and complex production systems?

A leading financial organization in Central Israel is looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to work on complex financial applications and mortgage-related systems.

This role combines deep technical analysis with an understanding of business processes. You'll design end-to-end solutions, write functional and technical specifications, define system integrations, and investigate complex production issues.

You'll collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, QA, Infrastructure, and Information Security to support the design and delivery of critical financial system changes.

What You'll Do

• Write detailed functional and technical system specifications.
• Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into end-to-end technical solutions.
• Design data flows, system interfaces, and integration processes.
• Define and specify APIs and integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
• Analyze data structures and write SQL queries.
• Work with Oracle databases as part of system analysis and investigation.
• Investigate complex production incidents through code inspection and log analysis.
• Take responsibility for production systems and coordinate incident resolution.
• Define unit tests and testing scenarios.
• Collaborate with Software Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Information Security teams.
• Coordinate technical requirements and activities with business stakeholders.
• Create system documentation and diagrams describing end-to-end solutions.
• Support the implementation and delivery of complex changes in financial systems.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Systems Analysis.
• Proven experience writing both functional and technical system specifications.
• Strong experience analyzing complex business processes and translating them into technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Oracle databases.
• Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience investigating technical issues through code reading and log analysis.
• Experience taking responsibility for production systems.
• Strong understanding of system integrations, data flows, and end-to-end technical processes.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and independently lead technical activities.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
