IT Infrastructure Team Leader

Amarel is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Team Leader to lead infrastructure operations, drive technological improvements, and support the organization's ongoing digital transformation.

This role combines technical leadership, team management, and hands-on involvement in infrastructure projects within a complex, multi-site organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the IT Infrastructure & Operations team, ensuring high service levels, business continuity, and excellent end-user experience.
• Lead infrastructure projects and modernization initiatives across cloud, networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and endpoint management.
• Manage and continuously improve the Microsoft 365 environment, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Azure services.
• Drive IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, operational excellence, automation, and the adoption of AI-based solutions.
• Lead Disaster Recovery (DR) and infrastructure resilience initiatives.
• Manage IT vendors and service providers, ensuring service quality and SLA compliance.
• Work closely with Information Security and the external CISO to implement security controls, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align infrastructure solutions with organizational needs and priorities.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure in medium or large organizations.
• 3+ years of experience leading an IT Infrastructure team or managing infrastructure operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Azure.
• Broad knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, backup, cloud, and endpoint management.
• Experience leading infrastructure projects, ITSM processes, and working with external vendors.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, infrastructure security, and business continuity.
• Experience in multi-site organizations – an advantage.
• Experience in the defense industry – a significant advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field – an advantage.
• Relevant professional certifications – an advantage.
