Senior Fraud Analyst / Data Scientist

Location: Israel

We are looking for an experienced Senior Fraud Analyst / Data Scientist to join a data-driven technology company and take a key role in developing advanced fraud detection and prevention capabilities.

This position combines hands-on fraud investigation, data science, machine learning, and AI-driven automation to identify suspicious behavior, uncover complex fraud patterns, and build scalable risk detection solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate complex fraud patterns, suspicious activities, and emerging risk trends.
• Develop and optimize fraud detection models using machine learning, statistical analysis, and rule-based approaches.
• Analyze large datasets to identify anomalies, behavioral patterns, and potential fraud indicators.
• Design and implement early-warning systems to proactively detect fraudulent activities.
• Build AI-powered tools, LLM agents, and automated workflows to enhance fraud investigation and prevention.
• Collaborate with Data, Product, and Engineering teams to integrate fraud detection solutions into business processes.
• Continuously improve detection accuracy while minimizing false positives.
• Translate complex data findings into actionable business recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Fraud Analytics, Risk Analytics, Trust & Safety, or a related data-driven fraud prevention role.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python.
• Proven experience developing statistical models, machine learning solutions, or advanced analytical frameworks.
• Deep understanding of fraud detection methodologies, behavioral analysis, and anomaly detection.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and complex analytical problems.
• Familiarity with AI technologies, LLMs, or agent-based automation.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience in high-volume digital platforms, fintech, payments, or online consumer products.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based agents or automated investigation workflows.
• Experience with real-time fraud detection systems.
