Located in the Central District within short walking distance of primary train transit, operating on a hybrid model with two days working from home.

Role Description

• Serving as a Senior Data Platform Engineer (Java / Go), joining the core Data Platform squad reporting directly to a Team Lead to design and build enterprise-scale data infrastructure and streaming services.
• Architecting and maintaining high-throughput cloud microservices and distributed data pipelines primarily in Java alongside Go (Golang), processing massive volumes of data in real time.
• Designing and implementing distributed streaming architectures capable of ingesting and processing high-throughput workloads (up to millions of events per second) with ultra-low latency.
• Leveraging advanced streaming and Big Data frameworks, including Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and Apache Flink, alongside modern analytical databases.
• Modeling structured and unstructured data across relational and NoSQL databases to power the central organizational data platform serving internal R&D squads and global clients.
• Partnering cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and Information Security teams to evaluate new data technologies, drive architectural decisions, and ensure continuous system resilience.

Requirements-

• 5 years of proven professional hands-on software development experience with extensive Go (Golang) / Java expertise – Mandatory
• Substantial hands-on experience building real-time data streaming and distributed processing pipelines utilizing technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, or ClickHouse – Mandatory
• Deep theoretical and practical mastery of Data Modeling, Distributed Messaging, and Streaming vs. Batch processing paradigms – Mandatory
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical field OR graduate of an elite IDF technological unit – Mandatory
• Proven background engineering high-scale, low-latency distributed backend systems – Mandatory
• Practical experience working with Relational and NoSQL database architectures at scale – Mandatory
• Full-time commitment to working in a hybrid model (3 days on-site in Tel Aviv walking distance to train transit, 2 days remote) – Mandatory
• Fluent, professional technical communication and documentation capabilities in English (written and verbal) – Mandatory
