Role Description-

• Serving as a Lead Backend Engineer / Tech Lead, driving core server-side architecture and development of scalable, high-availability multi-tenant cloud services.
• Engineering production backend services utilizing a modern polyglot stack centered on Kotlin (~60%) and Go (~40%).
• Architecting resilient, distributed systems to solve complex Scale, Low-Latency Performance, and Security-by-Design challenges in enterprise cloud environments.
• Taking strong end-to-end product and technical ownership, collaborating closely with Product Management, Security Architects, and Engineering leadership.
• Leveraging advanced developer AI environments (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) natively embedded within daily software design and delivery workflows.
• Providing technical mentorship, guiding architectural decisions, and championing engineering best practices across the local R&D group.

Requirements

• 5 years of proven hands-on software development experience with JVM/Modern languages (Kotlin, Clojure, Java, or Scala) – Mandatory
• Proven technical leadership experience as a Tech Lead, Staff / Principal Engineer, or hands-on Team Lead (with heavy hands-on contribution) – Mandatory
• Substantial hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining distributed microservices in modern Cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) – Mandatory
• Proven background building high-availability (HA), multi-tenant, and fault-tolerant production architectures – Mandatory
• Deep understanding of concurrency, clean architecture, API design, and system performance tuning – Mandatory
• Full-time commitment to working from the central site in Tel Aviv (walking distance to train transit, with 1 day working from home and schedule flexibility) – Mandatory
• Fluent, professional technical communication and documentation capabilities in English (written and verbal) – Mandatory
