Data Engineer

A growing, stable Israeli MediaTech and Entertainment AI enterprise engineering a next-generation streaming platform dedicated to short-form vertical drama and mobile-first content.

Employing approximately 100 professionals across its central headquarters and international engineering teams, the company operates with proven commercial traction and an active global paying customer base.

Located in the Central District directly adjacent to primary train transit, operating on an in-office model with flexibility for one day of remote work per week.

Role Description

• Serving as the Founding Senior Data Engineer (First Data Hire), taking end-to-end technological and architectural ownership over the company’s entire data domain from scratch, reporting directly to the CTO.
• Leading the evaluation, selection, and implementation of core data technologies, cloud storage layers, and orchestration frameworks (0-to-1 build).
• Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance ETL/ELT data pipelines to ingest, process, and model high-volume mobile user interactions and streaming telemetry.
• Collaborating closely with Executive Leadership, R&D, and Product teams to establish automated data accessibility, supporting core business analytics and future personalization models.
• Setting engineering standards for data reliability, pipeline scalability, query optimization, and production monitoring.
• Laying the structural foundation for advanced analytical layers, recommendation engines, and machine learning pipelines.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. / B.A. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline – Mandatory
• At least 5 years of proven hands-on experience in Data Engineering roles – Mandatory
• Extensive, proven practical proficiency in Python and advanced SQL – Mandatory
• Demonstrated practical experience designing, building, and operating production ETL / ELT workflows and data pipelines – Mandatory
• Solid technical understanding of database architecture, data modeling principles, and performance optimization – Mandatory
• Full-time commitment to working from the central site (adjacent to train transit, with flexibility for 1 day remote) – Mandatory
• Fluent technical communication and documentation capabilities in English (written and verbal) – Mandatory
