IT Systems Engineer

YHM is looking for an IT Systems Engineer to join our Professional Services team and help customers implement, manage, and secure their IT environments.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role. You’ll work directly with customers to understand their needs, guide them through technical challenges, and support them throughout projects and day-to-day IT operations.

You’ll work across different customer environments, combining device management, endpoint security, identity, SaaS, and IT infrastructure, with responsibility for delivering projects from planning through implementation and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Build positive working relationships with customers, communicate clearly, and keep them informed of progress, next steps, and any issues that may affect their work.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Windows and macOS devices throughout their lifecycle, including enrollment, application deployment, updates, and security policies.
• Implement and manage MDM and EDR solutions, troubleshoot issues, investigate security alerts, and maintain effective endpoint protection.
• Administer Google Workspace and other business SaaS platforms, including setup, migrations, integrations, and ongoing configuration.
• Manage identities, SSO, MFA, access policies, and employee onboarding and offboarding across connected systems.
• Troubleshoot device, application, identity, networking, and secure access issues across customer environments.
• Deliver IT projects, document configurations, test changes, and provide customers with clear technical guidance and handover.
• Improve recurring IT processes through automation, integrations, and practical use of new tools.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of practical experience in IT systems, infrastructure, or professional services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly, patient, and service-oriented approach.
• Experience working directly with customers or end users in a technical role, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical users.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing and managing MDM and EDR solutions, including policy management and troubleshooting.
• Experience with relevant platforms such as Iru, JumpCloud, Microsoft Intune, CrowdStrike, or comparable solutions.
• Strong Windows and macOS administration skills, with practical experience in Google Workspace and SaaS administration.
• A solid understanding of identity and access management, endpoint security, and networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• The ability to learn new platforms, investigate unfamiliar issues, and work independently across multiple customer environments, taking ownership of tasks and issues through to completion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an IT services company.
• Experience with SaaS deployments, migrations, and integrations.
• Familiarity with PowerShell, Python, APIs, or other automation tools.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365, or additional security platforms.
