We are looking for a Systems Analyst to define requirements and specifications and support the development of a large-scale enterprise web application featuring complex business logic, control processes, and integrations with internal and external systems.

The role involves end-to-end analysis of business and technical processes within a team of approximately 20 professionals across systems analysis, development, QA, and project management. The team works in an Agile environment, with parts of the system already in production.

Employment: Full-time

Work model: Two days per week working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from clients, analyze business needs, and translate them into system solutions.
• Analyze and define specifications for a complex infrastructure system, supporting development through implementation.
• Write technical specifications, including specifications for web services and scheduled jobs.
• Define interfaces and integrations across systems and vendors.
• Create Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and define data structures and relationships between database tables.
• Investigate and analyze databases by writing SQL queries and scripts.
• Define screen specifications with a focus on UX and usability.
• Work within an Agile methodology and develop work plans.
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, fellow systems analysts, and the project manager.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, DBA, architecture, and information security teams.
• Investigate issues, handle ongoing requests, and support system changes.

Experience Requirements

• Substantial experience in systems analysis. The exact minimum number of years required is subject to clarification.

Education

Candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Information Systems, or Management Information Systems.
• A bachelor’s degree in another field, supplemented by advanced courses in computerized information systems totaling at least 300 hours.
• A Practical Engineer diploma (Handasai) in computers or a technology discipline.
• No academic degree, with advanced courses in information systems totaling at least 400 hours.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

• Extensive experience analyzing and writing technical specifications for complex .NET systems.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server, including writing SQL queries.
• Experience defining screen specifications with a focus on UX and usability.
• In-depth knowledge of the education sector, particularly matriculation examinations (Bagrut).
• A background in software development.
• Recognized training in systems analysis.
