Backend Chapter Lead

COMBLACK is hiring a Backend Chapter Lead!

We are looking for an experienced Backend Chapter Lead to drive technical excellence, shape backend architecture, and lead engineering standards across multiple development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership across multiple backend development teams, influencing dozens of developers.
• Define and drive backend architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives and promote Engineering Excellence.
• Mentor senior developers and technical leads.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalable, distributed systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve development processes and technical quality.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software development and backend engineering – Mandatory.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot – Mandatory.
• Proven experience providing technical leadership across multiple development teams – Mandatory.
• Extensive experience with Microservices and Distributed Systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong software architecture, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.

Advantages:

• Experience in Fintech, Banking, or Payments.
• Experience with OpenShift.
• Familiarity with AI-Assisted Development tools.
