CNC Shift Manager

About IDEA

IDEA develops and manufactures complex electro-optical systems for the semiconductor, medical device, aerospace and defence industries. Our growing CNC facility in Israel produces precision opto-mechanical components using advanced machining and inspection equipment.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced CNC Shift Manager to lead our production shift, with a focus on night-shift integration. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead a team of CNC Operators and Setters from India and Israel, helping the team meet production targets while maintaining consistent quality standards.

Your responsibilities

• Manage daily CNC shift operations and guide operators working on 3–4 axis, 5-axis and Turnmill machines.

• Coordinate smooth handovers between shifts and communicate production priorities clearly.

• Resolve real-time production bottlenecks and support the team in troubleshooting issues.

• Work closely with Quality Control to address non-conformances promptly.

• Build a positive, collaborative team environment that supports continuous improvement and mutual learning.

What you bring

• Proven experience in a supervisory or shift-lead role in a precision CNC manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on experience with CNC setups, including Okuma, Mazak and Fanuc.

• Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills.

• A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving.

• Fluent English to communicate effectively across a team from India and Israel.

Location and shifts

This position is based at IDEA’s facility in Israel and requires relocation from India to Israel. Willingness to work evening and night shifts is required.
