Procurement & Supply Chain Lead

One of our clients, a fast-growing technology company developing advanced multidisciplinary hardware and software solutions, is looking to hire a Procurement & Supply Chain Lead to join its team in central Tel Aviv.

The company operates in a dynamic, innovative, and international environment, combining complex hardware development, engineering, and manufacturing activities.

This is a hands-on leadership position combining end-to-end hardware procurement, supplier sourcing and qualification, and direct management of one procurement team member.

The ideal candidate is an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in hardware sourcing, who is ready to take ownership of purchasing activities while leading a small team. Previous management experience is an advantage but is not mandatory.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day procurement operations and directly manage one procurement team member, including setting priorities, providing guidance, and ensuring execution.
• Manage the full purchasing cycle, including sourcing, RFQs, negotiations, purchase orders, delivery tracking, and resolution of supply issues.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers in local and international markets.
• Source and purchase electronic components, PCBs/PCBAs, mechanical parts, custom components, assemblies, tools, and services.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to evaluate suppliers' technical capabilities and ensure compliance with product and quality requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and commercial agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and proactively address shortages, delays, and supply chain risks.
• Support R&D, NPI, and manufacturing activities by ensuring timely availability of materials and components.
• Plan procurement of long-lead-time components and support inventory planning for ongoing production activities.
• Coordinate international shipments, customs processes, and material flow between suppliers and manufacturing sites.
• Maintain accurate procurement and supplier information in ERP systems and collaborate with Finance on Procure-to-Pay processes.
• Drive procurement process improvements and contribute to building a scalable and reliable global supply chain.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on procurement experience in a hardware, electronics, or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience sourcing and purchasing electronic components, mechanical parts, and custom hardware components.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier identification, evaluation, qualification, and onboarding.
• Experience working with manufacturers, subcontractors, and international suppliers.
• Experience supporting R&D and/or production operations, including managing purchasing priorities, lead times, shortages, and delivery schedules.
• Strong negotiation skills and independent supplier relationship management capabilities.
• Ability to understand technical procurement requirements and collaborate effectively with Engineering teams.
• Ability and motivation to directly manage and professionally guide a procurement team member.
• Strong organizational skills, ownership, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
