Tier 1 SOC Analyst

Role Overview

TCS Israel is looking for a motivated Tier 1 SOC Analyst to join a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) supporting a leading banking client in Jerusalem.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build a career in Cyber Security. The role focuses on security monitoring, alert analysis, incident triage, and threat detection across a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will work closely with SOC teams to identify, investigate, document, and escalate potential security threats while ensuring compliance with established security procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events generated by SIEM, XDR, EDR, and other security platforms.
• Perform initial triage, classification, and investigation of security alerts.
• Analyze logs and identify suspicious activities, anomalies, and potential threats.
• Escalate security incidents according to established SOC procedures and playbooks.
• Investigate, document, and report information security events and incidents.
• Support the preparation of SOC reports, dashboards, and operational metrics.
• Create, review, and maintain operational procedures and security documentation.
• Utilize Splunk and other security tools for incident investigation and report generation.
• Collaborate with Tier 2 analysts and SOC leadership to ensure timely incident response.
• Work effectively in a 24/7 shift-based environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in Cyber Security, SOC Operations, IT Support, or Information Security.
• Familiarity with security technologies such as:
• SIEM (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar)
• XDR / EDR Platforms
• Firewalls
• Antivirus & Endpoint Security Solutions
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English (written and verbal).
• Availability to work in a 24/7 shift environment.

Advantages

• Experience with platforms such as TryHackMe, Hack The Box, Cisco Networking Academy, or similar training programs.
• Background in Linux or Windows administration.
• Familiarity with security monitoring and log analysis.
