Senior Financial Systems Analyst | Core Systems

A leading organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Financial Systems Analyst to join its technology division and work on business-critical core systems and complex financial processes.

The role involves analyzing business and technical requirements, designing system solutions, preparing functional and technical specifications, and working closely with business users, software developers, and QA teams.

You will take ownership of system analysis activities and coordinate tasks throughout the development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering through testing and production deployment.

What You'll Do

• Analyze and design core information systems supporting complex financial business processes.
• Gather, analyze, and define business requirements with internal stakeholders.
• Write detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Support projects throughout the lifecycle, from requirements gathering through testing and production deployment.
• Guide software developers and QA teams during implementation and testing.
• Manage and prioritize tasks across development and testing teams.
• Work in an Agile development environment.
• Write complex SQL queries for system analysis, data validation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Track progress, identify blockers, and provide regular status updates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Analysis and Project Management.
• Experience analyzing financial or insurance information systems.
• Proven experience writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience managing and supporting end-to-end processes, from requirements gathering through production deployment.
• Experience working directly with software development and QA teams.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of complex information systems and business processes.
• Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Significant Advantages

• Previous software development background and understanding of system architectures.
• Experience working with AS400 systems.
