OpenShift Platform Engineer

OpenShift Platform Engineer | DevOps & Infrastructure

A leading organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced OpenShift Platform Engineer to join an advanced infrastructure team responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise application platforms in production environments.

The role focuses on hands-on OpenShift administration, Kubernetes infrastructure, cluster operations, automation, monitoring, and the implementation of enterprise open-source technologies.

You will work with complex production environments, support application infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and help introduce new technologies and platform capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
• Manage production OpenShift clusters, including cluster operations and Operators.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain applications and infrastructure components on OpenShift.
• Install and maintain enterprise platforms such as Kafka, Redis, and Vault.
• Research, evaluate, and implement new open-source technologies.
• Work with ArgoCD, Git, JFrog Artifactory, ACS, and ACM.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python and Bash.
• Implement monitoring solutions using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Configure and develop monitoring for enterprise applications.
• Work with Linux environments, SSL, certificates, and secure connectivity.
• Support infrastructure networking components, including Load Balancers.
• Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and production issues.
• Participate in architecture planning and recommend new technologies and tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and operating OpenShift in enterprise production environments.
• Practical experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining OpenShift clusters and Operators.
• Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux.
• Knowledge of SSL, certificates, and secure system access.
• Familiarity with enterprise networking and Load Balancers.
• Experience with Git, preferably Bitbucket.
• Experience with JFrog Artifactory.
• Experience writing automation scripts using Python and Bash.
• Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in complex technical environments.
• High proficiency in English.
• Strong technical ownership, professional maturity, and independent problem-solving skills.

Candidates with substantial relevant technical experience gained during military service may also be considered, provided they demonstrate the required technical capabilities and professional independence.
