Cybersecurity Architect | AI & Application Security

A leading organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to lead security architecture, risk assessment, and technical security guidance for enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and AI-powered systems.

This is a hands-on cybersecurity architecture role focused on designing secure solutions, identifying technical risks, and guiding engineering teams throughout the development and implementation lifecycle.

We are looking for professionals with a strong background in Application Security, Infrastructure Security, or Cloud Security Architecture, alongside practical experience securing AI-based systems and understanding their unique security risks.

This is a cybersecurity architecture position, not an AI development or compliance-only role.

What You'll Do

• Design and review secure architectures for enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and AI-powered systems.
• Conduct Threat Modeling, security risk assessments, and secure design reviews.
• Define technical security requirements, controls, and mitigation strategies for application and infrastructure projects.
• Guide R&D and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle, from initial design to production.
• Assess cybersecurity risks associated with AI models, AI-enabled applications, and emerging AI technologies.
• Develop security guidelines and controls for the secure implementation of AI systems.
• Review network security architectures and recommend appropriate security solutions.
• Evaluate and integrate cybersecurity technologies and security controls.
• Support secure development practices and application security processes.
• Define security monitoring, detection, and alerting requirements.
• Support technical aspects of cybersecurity incident response and remediation.
• Work across Hybrid Cloud and On-Premise environments.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity and technical security solutions.
• 3+ years of experience in security architecture, secure solution design, and technical guidance for application or infrastructure projects.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical teams or initiatives, directly or in a matrix structure.
• Experience guiding application and infrastructure projects from design through production.
• 2+ years of experience providing security guidance for the development or implementation of AI models or AI-enabled systems.
• Experience assessing AI-related cybersecurity risks and defining appropriate security controls and mitigation strategies.
• Strong practical background in Application Security, Infrastructure Security, or Cloud Security.
• Experience conducting technical risk assessments, defining security requirements, and guiding engineering teams.
• Experience working with Hybrid Cloud and On-Premise environments.
• Strong understanding of security architecture and the ability to translate technical risks into practical security solutions.
• Ability to independently research and evaluate emerging AI technologies and security threats.
• At least one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISO, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or CCSP.
• Meet at least one of the educational qualification paths listed below.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must meet at least one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or an exact sciences discipline.
• Another academic degree combined with at least 400 hours of professional cybersecurity training or certifications.
• An academic degree combined with relevant technological experience in an IDF technology unit, such as Mamram, Unit 8200, C4I, an equivalent unit, or RA'AM.
• No academic degree, but at least 360 hours of relevant CISO, risk management, or international cybersecurity certification training, plus an additional 120 hours of cybersecurity training.
