Senior Linux System Administrator | Enterprise Infrastructure

A leading organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to manage, deploy, and maintain complex Linux environments, with a strong focus on enterprise infrastructure, networking, security, and advanced troubleshooting.

This hands-on role involves working with Linux servers, system hardening, web servers, network and security components, and integrating commercial products and open-source solutions into enterprise environments.

What You'll Do

• Deploy, configure, manage, and maintain Linux servers across Red Hat, Debian, Ubuntu, and SUSE environments
• Install, configure, and maintain Apache and Nginx web servers
• Configure Linux server networking and security settings
• Implement Linux system hardening using technologies such as SELinux, AppArmor, and nftables
• Configure complex network environments and analyze network traffic using packet sniffing tools
• Work with load balancers and VPN servers
• Investigate and resolve complex incidents involving operating systems, networking, applications, and information security
• Integrate and implement commercial software products and open-source solutions within enterprise infrastructure
• Maintain stable, secure, and reliable Linux environments

What We're Looking For

• At least 4 years of professional experience in Linux System Administration
• Extensive hands-on experience deploying, managing, and maintaining Linux servers
• Experience configuring and maintaining Apache and Nginx
• Experience with Linux networking and server security configurations
• Practical experience with Linux system hardening
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting network communications
• Experience working with load balancers and VPN servers
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, application, and security issues
• Experience integrating commercial products and open-source solutions
• Full high school matriculation certificate (Bagrut) or equivalent qualification

Advantages

• Degree in Computer Science or a practical engineering diploma in Software or Hardware Engineering
• Experience with F5, SQL, directory services, or email systems
• Experience with AWS and VPC networking
