Senior Application Security Specialist | AI Security & Secure SDLC

A leading financial organization in Central Israel is looking for a Senior Application Security Specialist with deep expertise in Application Security and AI technologies to provide technical and security guidance to development and infrastructure teams in complex enterprise environments.

The role involves supporting projects from initial design through production deployment, implementing Secure SDLC methodologies, evaluating advanced security technologies for AI environments, and addressing complex application security challenges across cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

We are looking for a hands-on security professional who can combine strong application security expertise with a solid understanding of modern AI architectures, development processes, and enterprise security requirements.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical and security guidance to development and infrastructure teams
• Support projects from requirements and architecture design through production deployment, ensuring compliance with security, architectural, technological, and regulatory standards
• Analyze and resolve complex Application Security challenges
• Implement and promote Secure SDLC principles and secure development practices
• Provide security guidance for AI projects, applications, and platforms
• Evaluate and recommend emerging security technologies and tools for AI environments
• Work with AI components and architectures, including AI Agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and AI Skills
• Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines and automated development workflows
• Conduct security design reviews and guide secure application architectures
• Document security practices, share technical knowledge, and establish professional guidance
• Identify emerging security and technology trends and support their adoption across projects
• Mentor and train developers and technical professionals in Application Security and AI Security

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of experience in Software Development, Technical Guidance, or Software Architecture, with a specialization in Application Security within enterprise environments
• Proven experience working with AI systems and solutions
• In-depth familiarity with AI Agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI Skills, and related AI components
• Experience leading large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes, automation, and Git
• Experience with SAST, DAST, and security tools integrated into software development workflows
• Familiarity with Checkmarx, Mend, Microsoft Sentinel, JFrog Xray, or equivalent security tools
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Nexus, or similar technologies
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and OpenShift
• Strong knowledge of Application Security principles, OWASP Top 10, and SANS Top 25
• Ability to provide professional guidance and technical leadership to development teams
• Experience collaborating with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams
• Strong independent learning capabilities and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies
