Application Infrastructure Engineer | Web & System Platforms

A leading financial organization in Central Israel is looking for an Application Infrastructure Engineer to join its Application Infrastructure team and work in a complex, multi-system enterprise environment.

The role involves supporting development and QA teams throughout application deployment and maintenance, managing Web and Application infrastructure, ensuring system availability, and working with cloud technologies, automation, and container platforms.

We're looking for a technically skilled professional with hands-on experience in application infrastructure, Web/Application servers, scripting, and troubleshooting.

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain Web and Application server environments, including WebSphere, IIS, Apache, Tomcat, and PHP-based applications
• Support development teams, QA teams, and external vendors during application implementation, deployment, and maintenance
• Coordinate application releases, version upgrades, and deployment validation
• Ensure the availability and operational stability of Web, Application, and telephony infrastructure
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Write and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Perl, VB, and Terraform, as applicable
• Work across multiple operating systems and cloud environments
• Support application infrastructure running on OpenShift and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application-related issues
• Work with network and information security technologies in internet-facing environments
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and implementation guidelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure stable application operations

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with Web and Application server technologies, such as WebSphere, IIS, Apache, Tomcat, and PHP environments
• Familiarity with OpenShift
• Familiarity with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and environments
• Experience working with different operating systems
• Experience writing scripts in at least one of the following: PowerShell, VB, Perl, or Bash
• Understanding of networking and information security technologies
• Ability to prepare technical documentation and operational procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn independently and work in complex technology environments
• Willingness to work under demanding conditions and occasionally outside standard business hours
