SAP Functional Lead – TM / 3PL Solutions

A leading international IT and technology services company is seeking an SAP Functional Lead specializing in Transportation Management (TM) and 3PL Solutions to lead SAP implementation projects, define business processes, configure solutions, manage integrations, and implement SAP transportation and logistics solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, requirements gathering, configuration, and implementation of SAP TM solutions.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional SAP solutions.
• Define and document business processes, functional specifications, configuration documents, and test scenarios.
• Configure transportation planning and execution processes, including freight order management, carrier selection, freight cost calculation, and settlement.
• Lead requirements workshops, conduct Fit-Gap analyses, and evaluate solutions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development teams on interfaces, APIs, EDI integrations, and custom enhancements.
• Lead integrations between SAP TM, SAP EWM, SAP S/4HANA, and external third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
• Lead SIT and UAT activities, go-live preparation, Hypercare, and post-implementation support.
• Identify business process gaps and drive solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Provide functional leadership, technical guidance, and mentoring to project team members.

Requirements:

• Proven experience implementing and configuring SAP TM (Transportation Management).
• Experience leading functional activities throughout the SAP project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to go-live.
• Strong understanding of transportation processes, shipment planning, carrier management, and freight cost settlement.
• Experience writing functional specifications, configuration documents, and test scenarios.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP EWM – an advantage.
• Familiarity with interfaces and integrations, including APIs and EDI.
• Experience working with customers, business stakeholders, development teams, and external vendors.
• Experience leading workshops, Fit-Gap analyses, testing, and implementation activities.
• Strong analytical skills, a systemic mindset, and the ability to translate business needs into technological solutions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• High proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
