Senior Backend Tech Lead (1007788)

Elad Software Systems is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Tech Lead to join a large-scale, technology-driven environment and take professional ownership of Backend engineering across the tribe.

This is a senior individual-contributor leadership role for a strong Backend engineer who wants to remain close to technology while having a broad impact on architecture, engineering standards, technical direction, and developer growth across multiple teams.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Backend engineering practices and technical excellence across multiple development teams
• Work closely with the Chief Architect on strategic architecture decisions
• Define and drive Backend architecture standards, engineering best practices, and development guidelines
• Design and review scalable, resilient, and high-performance services based on modern Microservices architecture
• Influence technical decisions across the full Software Development Lifecycle
• Mentor senior engineers and support the professional growth of Backend developers
• Lead cross-team technical forums, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and engineering alignment
• Drive adoption of cloud-native technologies, modern development practices, and AI-assisted development
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation and platform improvement
• Provide technical leadership during complex production incidents and critical engineering initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building large-scale production systems
• Proven experience providing technical leadership across multiple Backend teams or engineering units
• Deep hands-on expertise in Java and modern Backend development
• Extensive experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and Microservices architecture
• Strong experience working in AWS cloud environments
• Experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift
• Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of observability, performance profiling, and production incident analysis
• Experience with AI-driven / AI-assisted software development practices
• Excellent mentoring, coaching, and technical influence capabilities
