Senior Software Engineer

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel | Hybrid | Full-time

A leading technology company developing an AI-powered work platform is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its AI Foundations team.

The role combines the development of advanced AI systems, building intelligent agent infrastructure, designing secure architectures, and owning core platform components in large-scale production environments while working with cutting-edge AI technologies.

What will you do?

• Develop advanced Generative AI products and enhance user experiences.
• Build and evolve AI agent infrastructure, including solutions based on LangChain and LangGraph.
• Develop and scale the MCP Gateway, enabling AI agents to access internal and external tools.
• Design and implement security mechanisms, permissions, and access controls for AI agents and sensitive data.
• Develop and manage identity components, including Authentication, Authorization, and Identity Governance.
• Build APIs, SDKs, and internal platforms used by multiple engineering teams.
• Take end-to-end ownership of system components, from design and implementation to production operations, reliability, and maintenance.
• Lead technical initiatives, drive architectural decisions, and mentor team members.
• Work in an AI-first engineering environment, leveraging AI-assisted development tools on a daily basis.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Backend or Full Stack Engineering, including ownership of large-scale, cloud-native production systems – Required.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents, including LangChain/LangGraph or similar technologies, tool calling, prompt and context engineering, model evaluations, and LLM observability – Required.
• Experience in system design, APIs, SDKs, and platforms serving multiple engineering teams, including backward-compatible evolution – Required.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies, including AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD – Required.
• Strong knowledge of authentication and security mechanisms, including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, service-to-service authentication, least-privilege principles, and sensitive credential management – Required.
• Proven ability to own complex technical challenges end to end, from problem definition to stable production operations – Required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience in technical leadership and mentoring engineers – Required.
• Extensive daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools – Required.

Advantages

• Experience building MCP servers and gateways, working with OAuth for MCP, and implementing tool governance.
• Familiarity with OPA/Rego, SCIM, RBAC/ABAC, policy and entitlement systems, or identity governance platforms.
• Experience securing AI agents, including sandboxed code execution, agent identity and delegation, human-in-the-loop approvals, and audit trails.
• Experience with Snowflake, data access governance solutions such as Satori, and Kafka/CDC.
• Experience developing internal platforms and SDKs, including release management, versioning, and backward compatibility for multiple consumers.
