My client, a global organization currently has an urgent requirement for a Sourcing Manager to join on a permanent basis. This is a highly visible position that sits at the intersection of Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations, offering the opportunity to influence sourcing decisions on a global scale while supporting innovation and business growth.

The Opportunity

As the Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will lead end-to-end Source-to-Contract (S2C) activities for direct materials, components, manufacturing services, and supplier partnerships. You will develop and execute category strategies, drive supplier performance, negotiate complex agreements, and identify opportunities to reduce cost, mitigate risk, and enhance service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global sourcing and category strategies aligned with business objectives and supply chain KPIs.
• Lead sourcing initiatives across categories including: Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), Components and assemblies, Manufacturing and engineering services, Sterilisation services, Testing and calibration services
• Manage the full Source-to-Contract lifecycle, including supplier selection, RFx processes, negotiations, contracting, approvals, and implementation.
• Partner closely with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Legal teams to support strategic initiatives and new product development.
• Identify and deliver cost optimisation, supply continuity, risk reduction, and supplier innovation opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and governance programmes.
• Provide market intelligence and spend analytics to inform sourcing decisions and long-term strategies.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years' experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within a regulated environment.
• Strong experience sourcing both direct materials and services.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing category strategies.
• Experience within Medical Devices, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Electronics Manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of supplier markets for electronic components, manufacturing services, and technical suppliers.
