Mechanical Engineer JB-5150

A company specializing in the development of multidisciplinary systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its team, responsible for mechanical design and the performance of strength and thermal analyses.

The company specializes in developing systems in two main fields: naval sonar and acoustics, and communications (MICROWAVE and RF).

The position reports to the Head of the Mechanics Team.

The role includes:

• Joining the company's mechanical development team and interfacing with development teams, management, and customers.

• Developing enclosures for the company's naval systems.

• Developing hardened and industrial enclosures for airborne and ground-based project systems.

• Performing thermal, strength, and dynamic analyses based on the WORKS SOLID.SIMULATION system.

• Supporting the development and editing of the company's electronic circuits in the context of enclosure design.

• Understanding the transition processes from development to production.

• Accompanying, managing, and supervising mechanical production at the subcontractor and assembling the subassemblies during the integration stage.

• Installations in the field and support for the company's customers in Israel and abroad.

Requirements:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering – required.
• At least six years of experience in mechanical development – required.
• Proven experience in developing enclosures for complex systems – required.
• Proven experience in designing enclosures with an emphasis on heat dissipation using passive and active means – required.
• Experience and ability in performing strength and thermal analyses – required.
• High ability to present designs and interface with customers, management, and the electronic development team.
• Experience with SolidWorks – required.
• Knowledge of the PDM system – required.
• Knowledge of the PRIORITY system – an advantage.
• Experience in naval/underwater enclosure design – an advantage.
