Lead Electrical Engineer – Data Center JB-5488

A leading company in the Data Center field is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for a key engineering role with responsibility for the critical infrastructure systems of the facility throughout its lifecycle – from construction, commissioning and certification through ongoing operations, upgrades and performance improvement.

The role combines professional engineering responsibility, hands-on work with the facility's systems, and leading processes to improve reliability, availability and energy efficiency.

Areas of responsibility:

• Engineering support through the construction, commissioning and certification phases of the facility.
• Participation in designing and implementing operational requirements and overseeing electrical and infrastructure works.
• Involvement in Commissioning processes and Integrated Systems Testing, and acceptance of systems following FAT/SAT.
• Responsibility for the availability and reliability of critical electrical systems, including MV, LV, UPS and generators.
• Fault analysis and performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), extracting lessons learned and leading improvement actions.
• Oversight of preventive and planned maintenance activities and management of engineering changes (MOC).
• Identifying operational and engineering risks and leading optimization and performance improvement processes.
• Analyzing operational data, loads, trends and faults to improve the reliability and efficiency of the facility.
• Leading expansion, upgrade and retrofit projects and integrating new systems into an operational facility.
• Managing interfaces with contractors, suppliers and operations and maintenance teams.
• Developing engineering standards and procedures, documentation and updating As-Built drawings, and training operations teams.
• Working jointly with electrical and HVAC disciplines to coordinate IT, electrical and cooling loads and improve energy efficiency (PUE).

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineer – Required
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience working with critical infrastructure systems
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical systems, including MV, LV, UPS and generators
• System-level understanding of electrical and cooling systems and the relationship between them
• Experience in fault analysis and performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Experience supporting maintenance, changes and upgrades of engineering systems
• Ability to analyze operational data, loads and trends
• Systems thinking and ability to handle complex faults
• Ability to work and lead interfaces with operations teams, contractors and suppliers
• Advantage: Experience in Commissioning, FAT/SAT and Integrated Systems Testing processes
