Standalone Bookkeeper (Type 3)

BENATAV is Hiring | Standalone Bookkeeper (Type 3) – Full-Time

BENATAV, a leading manufacturer of miniature components for the medical device industry, is expanding and establishing an in-house Finance Department.

We are looking for an experienced Standalone Bookkeeper (Type 3) to take ownership of the company's day-to-day bookkeeping activities, manage the transition from an external accounting firm to an in-house operation, and handle the books up to balance sheet level.

This is an excellent opportunity for an independent, detail-oriented professional to build and streamline internal accounting processes within a growing manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the transition of bookkeeping activities from an external accounting firm to an in-house operation.

Establish and maintain efficient internal bookkeeping procedures and workflows.

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Priority ERP.

Record and classify supplier and customer invoices, both locally and internationally.

Handle import and export documentation, customs brokerage, international freight, foreign currency transactions, and exchange rate differences.

Monitor customer collections, outstanding balances, and customer account reconciliations.

Prepare supplier payments, including bank transfers and international payments.

Perform ongoing bank, credit card, loan, and supplier reconciliations.

Prepare and submit periodic reports to the relevant authorities, including VAT, Income Tax, and National Insurance.

Perform monthly and annual closing entries, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset depreciation.

Prepare trial balances and all bookkeeping records up to balance sheet level for review by the Accountant or Finance Manager.

Requirements

Type 3 Bookkeeping Certificate (Senior Bookkeeper) – Mandatory.

Hands-on experience with Priority ERP – Mandatory.

At least 3 years of experience in end-to-end bookkeeping up to balance sheet level, preferably in a medium-sized company.

Proven experience handling import, export, and foreign currency transactions – Mandatory.

Good command of Microsoft Office, including basic Excel skills.

High level of independence, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to meet monthly and annual closing deadlines.

Basic payroll knowledge or experience with attendance reporting and payroll data preparation – Advantage.

Previous experience establishing an in-house bookkeeping function or transitioning from an external accounting firm – A significant advantage.
